Free GSTR-3B working: tax, ITC and cash payable
Your sales, credit notes, purchase bills, expenses and reverse charge entries are added up into the boxes of GSTR-3B. Type over any figure, and see at once how much input tax credit you can use and how much tax you pay in cash. No login, nothing uploaded.
Loading your saved bills…
Figures from your saved bills are filled in. Type over any box, for example with the ITC shown in your GSTR-2B. Boxes you changed are marked.
How to make a GSTR-3B working here
- Save your bills first. Sales bills on billing.niveshsahayak.in, credit notes, self invoices, and purchase bills and expenses in the Nivesh Sahayak App (app.niveshsahayak.in) are all read from this browser's data home.
- Pick the business and the period. One month, or one quarter in the QRMP scheme. The boxes fill in from the bills of that period.
- Match the ITC with GSTR-2B. Download GSTR-2B on the portal (or check it on gstr2b.niveshsahayak.in). If it shows less credit than your bills, type the GSTR-2B figure in box 4(A)(5). Boxes you change are marked.
- Add what the bills don't know. ITC balance brought forward from your electronic credit ledger, imports, ISD credit, reversals, interest and late fee.
- Read the payment table. It shows the tax payable, how much each credit pays off, and the cash to pay head by head (IGST, CGST, SGST/UTGST, cess).
- Save, print or share. Save this working keeps it in your data home for that month. Print or share it as a PDF for your accountant, then file GSTR-3B on the GST portal yourself.
What it does for you
- Fills table 3.1 from your sales: taxable supplies, zero rated (exports and SEZ), nil and exempt, reverse charge on purchases from unregistered suppliers.
- Fills table 3.2: inter-state supplies to unregistered buyers, state by state.
- Takes ITC from purchase bills and expenses: IGST, CGST and SGST split by the supplier's state; purchase returns lower it.
- Sets off credit the legal way: IGST credit first, then CGST and SGST/UTGST; CGST and SGST never against each other; reverse charge always in cash.
- Shows the due date for monthly filers (20th) and for QRMP filers (22nd or 24th, by your state).
- Keeps a working per month, so you can come back to it, change a figure and print again.
Your data stays with you
The working is made in this browser from the bills saved in your Nivesh Sahayak data home (my.niveshsahayak.in). Nothing is sent to us or to the GST portal; you file GSTR-3B yourself.

Questions people ask
Does this file my GSTR-3B?
No. It works out the figures and the cash to pay. You file GSTR-3B on the GST portal with your own login.
Where do the figures come from?
From the sales bills, credit notes, self invoices, purchase bills and expenses saved in this browser by the Nivesh Sahayak sites and app. You can type over any box.
Why does the cash payable differ from what I expected?
Usually because CGST and SGST credit cannot pay each other, reverse charge tax is cash only, or the ITC balance brought forward from earlier months was not typed in.
Can I use it for QRMP quarterly returns?
Yes. Choose "One quarter (QRMP)" and any month of the quarter. The due date shown (22nd or 24th) follows your state.
Is the ITC figure final?
No. Only credit that appears in your GSTR-2B and meets section 16 can be claimed. Type the GSTR-2B figure if it is lower than your bills.
Is it free?
Yes, free, no login and no limit.
